Steelhead Inn

This is a cute little hotel that brings back memories of travel before there were large, impersonal chains. The king bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean. The a/c had a musty odor but that went away once it was running for a couple of hours. There's a laundry and a fish cleaning station (we didn't fish) and it's very close to any kind of restaurant you could wish for. The only downside were the thin walls. We had very rude neighbors the night we were there. Otherwise, an inexpensive and clean option for a night or two.

Great location to everything around. Unfortunately the pool was closed or I would have given them 5 stars. What did stand out was the staff. We stayed there the first night, and planned on camping the second night by the beach. We weren't able to get a camping spot in the area we wanted so we needed to stay another night. We have kids and alot of stuff. Unfortunately our room was reserved for the next day. Debbie and Gale went above and beyond what normal staff would've done. They literally tried everything within there power to keep us in that room. They did however get us another room a couple doors up so we didn't have to carry our things do far. We ended up coming back that evening from the beach and a roll out kids bed was in our room waiting without us even asking because we had to downgrade to a single bed room. That made his day. Thanks again Gale and Debbie.

I stayed there for two days good price can't complaint good service relaxing near on everything I would recommend it. It feel like real home. Feel comfortable I like it five stars.

The rooms are nice. The toilet in Room 4 is a little close to the wall, but it's usable. Staff is very nice, there's a little laundry room across from the rooms. Headboards are a little sticky, but it's probably from new paint, but nothing terrible. Most TV channels were unmarked but I marked almost all of them myself. So if you get room 4, enjoy the channel markings. Air conditioning is nice and chilly, and the room has a microwave and mini-fridge. I like the place, it's cute.

Very nice people. We arrived late and they had the room ready and called with directions for after hours. We slept well but you can feel the bed springs. The rooms are clean and if the beds were more comfortable I'd give a 5 star for sure!

It's a motel. Does have a small out door pool , which was opened! And seemed clean. By the end of the night was completely packed full and this was in June 2023. Staff was friendly and spoke very clear English. Would definitely stay again. Did think it was a tid bit pricey for 2 rooms. $240 but everything has gone up. They have tip envelopes for housekeeping staff. Which I'm not sure how I feel about that being a motel. Though the showers in both rooms were Definitely clean. So I did tip.

Just stayed here for two nights. We were very pleased! We were en route when the office called us and told us they were about to close, but they made special arrangements to get us into the room. When we walked in, we were pleased to find it smelled very clean. The place was neat and tidy, having been recently remodeled. Slept well on a comfortable bed (I like a harder bed) and didn’t have any trouble with hearing people in adjoining rooms. The only downside as I see it is the bathroom toilet is a tight squeeze. My knees almost touched the wall. Other than that, no problems at all. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

We stayed here with our Family for a long weekend getaway to Presque Isle and Waldameer. It's a typical retro-style, quaint, privately owned roadside motel, so if you are expecting high level service or "chain" type operation, this is not it. We got exactly what we came for, comfortable beds, clean rooms, refrigerator, microwave, air-conditioned, TV, hot showers, everything was clean and worked. Our room had a little table and we all gathered for coffee and our own "continental" breakfast. The swimming pool is little, but kids enjoyed playing there. If I had one suggestion for the owners it would be to consider laminate floors instead of carpet as next updates, it may be a personal preference, but I think they are easy to keep clean and improve air quality.
